Description:George, Lord Pigot of Patshull (1719-1777). He was the Governor of Madras in India 1755-1763 having previously been in the service of the East India Company. He returned to England and became Member of Parliament for Wallingford 1765-1768 and Bridgnorth 1768-1777.
