Description:Dudley Ryder, 2nd Earl of Harrowby (1798-1882) of Sandon Hall. Viscount Sandon between 1809 and 1847, he succeeded his father as Earl in 1847. he was Member of Parliament for Tiverton 1819-1831 and for Liverpool 1831-1847. He held office under Lord Palmerston as Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster in 1855 and as Lord Privy Seal between 1855 and 1857.
