Description:John Chetwynd (1643-1702) of Rudge Hall was Member of Parliament for Stafford 1689 to 1695 and 1701 to 1702. between 1698 and 1700 he was M.P. for Tamworth. In 1693 his son inherited the Ingestre estate from another branch of the Chetwynd family, greatly increasing the social standing of his family. An engraving by John Smith after a painting by J.B.
