Description:Robert Greville, 2nd Baron Brooke (1607-1642/3) of Beauchamp's Court, near Alcester in Warwickshire. He was the son of Fulke Greville of Thorp Latimer, Lincolnshire and became Baron Brooke in 1628, succeeding his cousin Fulke Greville. He was Major General for Warwickshire and Staffordshire during the English Civil War, 1642-1643. He died at the Lichfield house of Michael Biddulph M.P. from a musket ball wound, received whilst directing the siege of Lichfield Cathedral in March 1642/3. He married Lady Catharine Russell (died 1676), daughter of the 4th Earl of Bedford, circa 1630.
