Description:The Noah's Ark on Crabbery Street was originally built as a town house in the sixteenth century. In August 1575 Queen Elizabeth I took wine here during her journey through the town. In the late 1800s the building was altered when the road was widened. This involved removing a timber framed porch and the three-gable room above. The building was converted into offices in 1967, but is now The Stafford Ale House in 2012. Photograph donated by Stafford Historical and Civic Society, who retain copyright ownership.
