Description:Workmen at Charles Tompson's plumbers, painters and decorators, 28 Market Street. This photograph was taken at rear of premises.

Standing far left: Joe Birt (Plumber). 4th from left: Mr Tompson's son, and father of small girl holding the cat.
Seated left: Mr A. Whittaker (Mrs Vera Beck's father) born 1882. Centre: Mr Tompson (the boss) with his grand-daughter.

The building was later occupied by George Evans, plumbers. It is now (2009) a veterinary surgery.
