Description:The Almshouses were established in 1672 following a charitable bequest to the village by William Rolleston. They were built on Burnside in 1712 and restored in 1892. The Alder Brook can be seen in the foreground. Beyond are the hay ricks standing next to the Spread Eagle Hotel.
