Description:This photograph of Lower Street taken in 1930 shows the Bridge House Inn on the left hand side with the tower of St. Giles' Church rising up in background behind it. The pavements are cobbled and an open upstairs window can be seen in the building to the right of the picture. These houses were demolished when the ring raod was built in the mid 1960s.
