Description:The National School in Newcastle-under-Lyme is here depicted in watercolour by Alf Fallows. This school was also know as St.Giles' and St George directly onto The Queen's Gardens. At the top of the picture is the infants school at the bottom of the picture is a rear view of the boys' and girls' schools, their playgrounds separated by a wrought iron fence.
