Description:J.C. Staton & Company were gypsum miners and plaster manufacturers at Fauld and Tutbury. Their tug of war team had a national reputation and won many competitions. Their local name was 'The Nonsuchers'. Nationally they were known as 'Staton's Eyeopeners'.
