Description:View of the High Street.

On the left is St. Editha's Church, built from local sandstone. The earliest part of the church is the tower, which dates from the twelfth century.

The timber framed building on the right is Church Cottage, also known as Institute Farmhouse. The cottage fell into disrepair and was demolished in the 1980s. It was rebuilt in 1983 using new materials, further back from the road.
