Description:Maypole dancing, possibly as part of the celebrations for the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in 1953.

This picture was taken at the junction of Broadway and Bright Street at Meir. The shop in the background was run by the Colclough family. Children would use the shop as a tuck shop on their way to school during the 1960's and 70's.
