Description:This is a child's gas issued during WW2. They were made in bright colours in an attempt to make them more acceptable to the child than the standard ominous black type. Known by collectors as the 'Mickey Mouse' gas mask.
Forty million masks were distributed to the civilian population of Britain in 1939, amidst fears that gas would be used to attack the population.
