Date:1953

Description:The building on the left was originally Forebridge Villa, built on Lichfield Road in the early nineteenth century.

The house was bought in 1903 by sisters from the French Order of St. Joseph of Cluny. Here they established a convent and girls' school.

The large building next door is the new extension, which opened in 1932. Today the convent is a home for the elderly.
