Description:This view of Corporation Street, near Crooked Bridge Road, was taken prior to the widening of the road and the building of houses on the left, where allotments cover the ground. These houses were later nicknamed 'Clembelly Avenue', because if you bought one of them you could not afford to eat afterwards!

Coton Hill Hospital can be seen in the distance, on the left.
