Description:A group of Surveyor's Department staff at Stafford Borough Council's staff social in 1964. 'Fred and the Sleepers' is a parody of the contemporary pop group Freddie and the Dreamers.

From left to right: Armand Chatfield, Richard Bayer, Eileen Smith, Terry Stretton (on drums), Cllr Rees Tyler, Melvin Bradbury, Ian Wiggett and Patrick Dolphin.

Patrick Dolphin sadly died in 1986.
