Description:Hand-made pottery-making tool for smoothing pressed articles.

The tool is made from ceramic material and was used to make dishes.

Roughly 15cm in length.

Engraved on the tool is the maker's name, the town he worked in and the date.

Taken from the Gladstone Pottery Museum Tools Collection.

This object is now part of the collections at Stoke-on-Trent Museums.
