Description:Pottery-making tool for smoothing or levelling pressed articles.
Roughly 12cm in length.
The owner/maker's name and the date he made the tool are inscribed on the piece.
The inscription contains other information and a statement by the owner telling poeple to leave the tool alone. It reads;
John Moreton, a - m - s - m - s - d, November the 21st 1896, put me down I belong to John Moreton
