Description:This steam truck was operated by Charles Bunting Limited, a firm of breakers based in Uttoxeter.

Steam trucks were closely related to the heavy traction engines often used in agriculture between 1840 and 1940.

By railway standards, steam trucks were only capable of limited speeds. They were most often used for short-haul journeys.

They would often carry their loads as far as the railway station. There, the journey would continue more swiftly by train.
