Description:Photograph taken looking down from Bull Hill towards Gaol Square.

The building seen opposite the end of Bull Hill housed Stafford's Grammar School from 1813 to 1862. It became the Jap Co.'s premises, and later F.T. Parkes' furniture shop.

At the far end, on the left, is Taylor's bakers shop. Opposite, on the right, is the Elephant and Castle public house.
