Description:Thomas Russell was a travelling Primitive Methodist preacher who first came to Stafford in 1835.

The congregation met in a room in north Stafford until their first chapel opened in New Street. It was replaced in 1849 by a larger chapel in Snow Hill (pictured).

The chapel closed in 1958 and was demolished ten years later.
