Description:This is a metal Auxillary Fire Service helmet. It is painted red with BRWP Crewe painted on the front. It has a chin strap and adjustable skull protection. Max diameter (rim): 305mm. The breathing apparatus consists of one steel cylinder of oxygen gas, rubber proofed twill breathing tag, india-rubber mouthpiece and nose clip, eye protecting goggles and an absorbent canister. The breathing apparatus comes with an instruction booklet and a red metal carrying case. The 'Salvas' half-hour self-contained oxygen breathing apparatus was made by Siebe, Gorman and Company Limited in Chessington, Surrey.
