Description:This type of lamp was used by breathing apparatus wearers in the National Fire Service during the Second World War. This 'CEAG' copper lamp has a cylindrical copper body with a brass bulb housing projecting at right angles at the top. There is a hinged brass handle, and wire crossed over lamp glass. Marked 'C4, Type BE3'. CEAG Limited were based in Barnsley, Yorkshire. This item is part of the Staffordshire Fire Service collection held within the Staffordshire County Museum collection. Base diameter: 65mm. Height: 165mm.
