Description:This is the grand opening of the Hall in 1900. The hall was built by the New Connexion Methodists from land acquired by Sidney R. Grimwade, a pottery manufacturer, to commemorate the loss of his daughter. It was intended as a Chapel and meeting place. Services were held there for some years.
Either by misuse or neglect the hall was demolished in 1927 leaving a gap still evident today.
