Date:1904

Description:The Hotel was built just after the Railway in 1848. Most of the people, mainly farmers, can be seen gathering around the 'vaults' while opposite a small group are being served non-alcoholic beverages from a wooden hut.

The cattle market operated on alternate Tuesdays, but ceased during the 1950s.

On the right hand side of photograph, a weighbridge can be seen which was used for the Station Wharf. It is no longer there.
