Description:The Market Cross stands on High Street at the junction with Cross Street. It consists of an octagonal sandstone shaft on steps and probably dates from the 17th century. To the right can be seen the sign for the Wheatsheaf Inn, typical of Cheadle's ornate wrought-iron inn signs.
