Description:The earliest section of the building is the original 14th century tower with its recessed spire. This church was designed by the architect Henry Yevele, an architect who also designed the nave of westminster Abbey. The church was laregly re-built in 1828 by Trubshaw and Johnson in imitation medieval style, who extended the church, making room for 1400 worshippers. Their nave comprises of two galleries and 6 bays. The chancel is a later addition, and dates from 1877.
