Description:This is the tomb of Sir Walter Wrottesley who was buried on 11 December 1630. It is located in the chancel of Codsall Church. The depictions on the front of the tomb are to represent each of his five children. The two shields in the arch symbolise his two wives.

The Wrottesley family have been patrons of the living of Codsall since the mid sixteenth century. Since 1968 this patronage has been exercised jointly with the Bishop of Lichfield.

Other Wrottesley memorials can be found in St Michael's Church in Tettenhall.
