Description:The Junction Service Station on Newport Road, with King Edward VI Grammar School in the background to the left.

From about 1939 it belonged to Mr E.H. Bunn. He was an agent for British made motorcycles, and for Morris, Wolsey and Reliant cars. When the family, who lived above the garage, moved out in the late 1950s a crane had to be used to hoist their piano through one of the windows on the first floor.

The gatepost by the street lamp on the left was at the start of the road leading to Stafford Goods Yard of British Railways.
