Description:Wedding photograph of John Davies and Harriet Annie Shelley. The wedding took place during the Second World War and the groom is wearing his naval uniform. John (Jack) Davies was a gunner on Defensively Equipped Merchant Ships (DEMS) during World War II. He was awarded the D.S.O. in 1945 and was presented with it by King George VI at Buckingham Palace.
