Description:The parade of decorated floats seen in Gaol Road during the annual Trades and Friendly Societies' Pageant. A prize was awarded to the best decorated entries and along the route collections were made for Stafford General Infirmary. One of the winners can be seen in the foreground, advertising the new gas cookers.

The banner in the distance belonged to the Co-operative Friendly Society. Note one of the town's three cast-iron urinals in the background.
