Description:On the left hand side the sign of M & R Blackwell, boot dealers of 26 High Street, can be seen. The Cross Keys public house is directly opposite Blackwell's. Hospital Saturday was held annually to raise funds for the local hospital. Local people donated flowers to be sold, and a stall was organised outside the Town Hall while volunteers carrying baskets and collecting boxes sold flowers on the surrounding streets.
