Description:On the left can be seen the timber-framed upper storey of No.1 Post Office Cottages, which dated from about 1500. The adjoining brick cottages contained the beams and fireplaces from the original 15th century house. The cottages were demolished after being gutted by fire in 1981. The site is now the site of the Village Hall car park.
