Description:Blackladies incorporates remains of a Benedictine Priory, established around 1150. The Priory is thought to have been founded by Roger de Clinton, the Mercian Bishop, and was dissolved by Henry VII in 1538.
Blackladies was purchased by the Gifford family shortly after its dissolution and remained largely in the families ownership until 1918 when it was sold.
In 2003 Blackladies had become a Bed and Breakfast.
