Description:Bowling team pictured on the sports field of Lotus Shoe factory, Sandon Road.

Lotus, like many other companies, encouraged their employees to participate in sports and social activities. A Welfare Superintendent was appointed after the First World War and activities included gymnastics, tennis and dramatics.
