Date:1912

Description:Early fairground ride on the Common during the annual Stafford Pageant. The ride was built in 1912, and the vehicle on which the monoplanes were based was a 'Growler', the taxi cab of the day. The ride was so well balanced that one push set it spinning for hours.

The pageant included a parade of decorated floats, and along the route collections were made for the Stafford General Infirmary.
