Burton Aviation Week - Official programme

Date: 26 September 1910 - 1 October 1910 (c.)

Description: The Burton Aviation week was staged at Bass's Meadow in Meadow Road, Burton, between September 26th and October 1st 1910.

The official programme lists admission prices at 1/- 2/6 and 5/-, with an addition of 2/6 to visit the hangers.

The aviators listed are Mademoiselle Helene Dutrieu, Farman Biplane. Brunneau De Laborie, Farman Biplane. Paul De Lesseps, Bleriot monoplane. Marcel Hanriot, Hanriot Monoplane. Julien Mamet, Bleriot Monoplane. Emile Ladougne, Goupy Biplane. L Beaud, Farman Biplane.

The Burton on Trent Aviation Commitee, initially had problems securing pilots for the meeting, when none of the aviators originally sugested were able to attend. They eventually booked a group of all French fliers who had previously been attending a meeting in Doncaster.
