Sir Richard Dyott

Date: 1800 - 1810 (c.)

Description: Sir Richard Dyott (c.1591-1660) of Freeford Manor, near Lichfield. A lawyer, he was admitted to the Inner Temple in 1615, and held the offices of Recorder of Stafford in 1624, High Steward of Lichfield, Chancellor of the County Palatine of Durham. He was Member of Parliament for Stafford 1623,1624; for Lichfield 1625, 1626, 1628, and 1640. He was a Royalist during the English Civil War
